Drucker is a very advanced thinker. I interpret his notions on constant change as an inevitable part of the fast moving state of technological improvements across a number of fields.

But TV didn't put radio out of business, as YouTube didn't bring cableTV down. There may be new forms of social media yet to be created, but Facebook is super popular for a reason. I don't think it's going anywhere.

Peter Drucker was an extraordinary man; I was lucky enough to know him personally as a friend and student. I wish he were around to comment on the new media environment. Univesities would do well to use a little management thinking in their planning and managing. I don't think the Ivory Towers will remain protected in the new environment with free information flows. (Check out the free lectures online at MIT!) Thanks for taking the time to comment!
